General Description / Primary Purpose:

The position will focus on managing the Graduate School budget, office procedures, staff liaison, etc.

Job Function:

  • Provide administrative support to the Graduate School Directors and Dean
  • Assist in the design, development and implementation of departmental processes and programs to improve workflow and promote systems efficiency under the direction of the Graduate School Directors and Dean
  • Manage budget and processing of supplies, travel, promotional items, advertising expenses, operating capital, awards, other services funds, etc.
  • Manage processing of and web sites for Graduate Faculty, Graduate Program Directors, and Graduate Council members
  • Process and track renewal eligibility for all Graduate School awards and waivers including Graduate Assistants, Graduate Research Grants, Graduate Student Awards, ASLAW, Auzenne Fellowship, Pathways Scholarship, and Graduate Student of the Month
  • Process student forms such as thesis/dissertation graduation requirements, Leave of Absence, and Clear Prior requests
  • Serve as liaison for approval of cross-level listing of courses
  • Assist with event preparation and implementation
  • Coordinate and manage meetings arrangements, agendas, minutes, etc
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

This position requires either (a) Master's degree from an acceptable accredited institution in a directly related area of specialization ; (b) Bachelor's degree from an acceptable accredited institution in a directly related area of specialization and two years of experience directly related to the job functions; or (c ) 6 years of direct experience.

Experience in a university setting.
Experience with university budget management.
Experience with or willingness to learn Banner student database.
Experience with or willingness to learn CRM and CMS systems.

This position has a reporting requirement because the University believes that responsibility for students, campus activities and/or campus security will make the holder of this position someone members of the University community will see as an authority figure and someone to whom they can seek help. A CSA is not expected to investigate or determine whether a criminal incident actually took place. A CSA's responsibility is a duty to report. All positions designated as CSAs are required to complete an online or in-person training session. The holder of this position is designated as a "Responsible Employee" pursuant to their role under Title IX.
