Description:
We are seeking a skilled Controls/Systems Engineer to join our team at a leading Food/Chemical manufacturing company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and design control systems tailored for food ingredient manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the installation and integration of automation systems to enhance operational efficiency, minimize downtime, and optimize production output.
• Proficiently program Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to control various processes, ensuring precision, reliability, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Design, configure, and maintain Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems to monitor and control manufacturing processes in real-time.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements, implementing changes to enhance overall system performance.
• Conduct risk assessments on control systems, identifying potential vulnerabilities, and implementing measures to ensure the security and integrity of manufacturing processes.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of control systems, automation processes, and changes made to ensure accurate records and facilitate troubleshooting.
• Work closely with maintenance and production teams to provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and implement preventive maintenance measures for control systems.
• Ensure that all control systems and automation processes comply with relevant regulatory requirements, including food safety standards and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field PREFERRED NOT REQUIRED.
• Proven experience as a Systems Engineer in the food manufacturing industry, preferably with a focus on food ingredients.
• Proficiency in PLC programming and SCADA systems.
• Strong knowledge of control systems, automation, and process optimization.
• Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards and requirements for food ingredient manufacturing.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
