Overview / Responsibilities

The primary role will drive the operating efficiency by remotely monitoring and optimizing well site production via alarm management and facility volume coordination. The position will collaborate with operations and production engineers.

Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood is required

  • Surveillance and control of well site facilities, central facilities, and 3rd party offtake (oil, water, and gas)
  • Collaboratively identify and execute production and equipment optimization opportunities with optimizers
  • Alarm management and optimization
  • Lone worker system monitoring
  • Oil and water truck hauling coordination and dispatch
  • Target vs. Actual: Monitor production from a centralized control room and optimize accordingly to achieve production targets
  • Own the production and downtime events to minimize repeat failures
  • Drive initiatives that improve field performance via automation, prioritization, etc.
  • Provide input and guidance for field-wide operating strategy
  • Provide updates and guidance on operations, maintenance, and down-hole activities for the area
  • Support operators in Cygnet, reporting systems, XSPOC, WellView, and LPRS
  • Assisting with OPEX tracking and reporting
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving operational issues
  • Interface with engineering groups for data gathering requests


Skills / Qualifications

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • 3+ years of direct experience in Upstream field operations
  • Ability to work a 7/7 work schedule including day and night shifts
  • Ability to work overtime for vacation and sick leave coverage as needed

Preferred:
  • Engineering degree preferred (Petroleum, Mechanical, etc.)
  • 3+ years experience with Microsoft Office, Cygnet, XSPOC, and SAP or similar softwares
  • 3+ years field experience working with artificial lift systems (rod pump, electrical submersible pump, gas lift)
  • Working knowledge of field operations including: compression, plunger lift, rod pump, chemical treating, etc. operations on high pressure and low pressure gas and oil wells
  • Proven leadership in promoting safe work practices
  • Excellent communication skills in working with multiple disciplines
  • Motivates and encourages people to achieve their best and to pursue goals that enable success
