Our client, a Center City hospital, is seeking a Collections Specialist to join their billing department.

About You

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this role
• 2+ years of prior experience working in collections or billing
• 1+ years of administrative experience in an office or healthcare setting
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
• Understands the importance of confidentiality when working with sensitive information
• Collaborative and enjoys working with others

About the Job

• Manage and respond to incoming patient inquiries in a timely and efficient manner
• Assist the collections department with daily operations and perform collections calls when needed
• Review the collections ledger to determine and note accounts requiring a follow up
• Create and circulate monthly reports for the department
• Effectively relay pertinent information to all intended parties
• Provide assistance to the verification specialists as needed
