What does a great Contract Specialist do?

As a Contract Specialist, you will ensure that Account Executives and clients receive accurate proposals and agreements for all Fiserv licensed products and services. You will impact both client satisfaction with Fiserv and assist in helping Fiserv reach their financial targets by assisting clients select the best solutions to address the financial needs of their customers. You will gain product knowledge, company knowledge, and problem-solving skills as well personal and professional growth, improved communications skills, and an opportunity to work with a dedicated team of professionals.

As a Contract Specialist, you can look forward to:

Generating accurate sales proposals and license agreements for Account Executives and clients in a timely manner with correct pricing, discounts, licensing prerequisites, terms and conditions. Work closely with Account Executive (AE) team and Sales Analyst group to promote Fiserv suite of products and services to new and existing clients. Responsible for maintenance of accurate client records to ensure sales proposals and license agreements are accurately tracked and closed. Preform daily processing of incoming software, services, equipment and other agreements. Responsible for researching all correspondence and following up with Account Executives and client in a timely manner. Create Non-Disclosures Agreements (NDA's) for professional services engagements with other third-party vendors, miscellaneous amendments and other documents as directed.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Drafts client contracts, typically on Fiserv templates, but may be on client/vendor paper

Reviews initial client contract redlines and comments and suggests alternative language / responses

Drafts language, often based upon contracting standards and clause banks

Identifies and escalates potential risks, makes recommendations for resolution

Works with account executives/sales to verify terms

Responds to contractual questions from clients (internal and external)

Provides contract interpretation to internal clients as needed

Assists with research projects

Completes assigned tasks under general supervision

Basic qualifications for consideration:

Bachelor's degree

One year of contract/legal experience

Preferred qualifications for consideration:

Experience drafting various technology contracts, including software licenses and SaaS agreements.

Strong interpersonal skills; team player.

Strong organizational skills; detail oriented.

Effective time management.
