We are seeking a Contract and Grants Project Manager to support the National Institutes of Health's National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) in support of the overall functions of the Parasitology & International Programs Branch/Division of Microbiology & Infectious Diseases (PIPB/DMID). Responsibilities

  • Work closely with members of the PIPB/DMID on programs, projects, and task orders to advance grants, cooperative agreements, contracts, and product development-related activities and requests from the extramural community for research resources and information (e.g. database related information, research resources, meeting logistics and organization, minutes, communications).
  • Organize, track, and manage projects, timelines, websites, communications, and activities related to the implementation of projects associated with grants, cooperative agreements and contracts for basic research, translational, preclinical and clinical studies and trials.
  • Participate in initative planning meetings, and assist in development of R&D solicitations/Funding Opportunity Announcements.
  • Facilitate meeting organization, logistics, communications and other similar activities.
  • Assist with completing forms such as the FACTS worksheet for foreign field sites, coordinating protocol reviews, archiving, version tracking, and IRB documents.
  • Provide organizational support to PIPB via computer-based systems.
  • Provide assistance on a variety of special projects.
  • Schedule and attend meetings and teleconferences with program staff, write meeting summaries, and edit and develop briefing documents.
  • Assist with preparation of PowerPoint presentations.
  • Meet with the PIPB Staff on a regular basis to provide oral and/or written reports on the status of on-going projects and to receive new assignments.


Qualifications

  • Graduate's degree or equivalent degree in communication, information technology, health sciences, or disciplines related to project management; OR
  • Bachelor's degree with at least two years of experience with Project Management or Office Administration.
  • Ability to communicate well both orally and in writing
  • Knowledge and experience with common application software, e.g., MS-Excel, MS-Word, PowerPoint, etc. Experience with Sharepoint and MS Project or similar software is highly desirable.
  • Ability to prepare and edit scientific documents with limited assistance from Program Staff
  • Ability to work effectively in teams
  • Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple complex projects concomitantly
  • Work will be performed up to 40 hours per week during normal business hours, Monday-Friday, excluding Federal holidays. However, work can run past business hours and flexibility will be needed, and the contractor will be responsible for scheduling.
