Candidates must be familiar with:

Ability in using tools (e.g. clamps) and machines (e.g. presses)

Good understanding of quality control principles.

Good communication skills (verbal and written)

Must have high school diploma

Machine operators setup, operate, and maintain machinery, usually in a manufacturing setting. They are responsible for ensuring the machine produces high quality products, runs smoothly and at capacity, and is properly maintained. Education and training requirements depend on the type of machinery.
Places objects in perforated or mesh barrel of plating equipment and clamps door in barrel opening. Turns handle to lower barrel into plating solution and to close electrical contacts. Starts rotation of barrel. Starts flow of electric current through plating solution that decomposes plating metal at anode and deposits metal coating on objects in barrel.
