We are seeking a Compensation Specialist to join our Compensation Team based in our Hanover, MD office

Job Summary: Works strictly within the compensation team of the corporate Human Resources team. Conducts analysis and interpretation related to the organization's compensation programs. Administers one or more of the organizations compensation programs. Administers policies, procedures, and programs relating to all aspects of compensation activity. Organizes, updates, and maintains compensation files; prepares and manages HR documents, and performs data analysis within the HRIS software and external compensation software.

Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities

• Evaluates the organizations jobs, documenting responsibilities and requirements in job descriptions.
• Conducts market analysis of company jobs to determine competitive positioning of the organizations pay programs.
• Participates in administration of annual performance management, incentive, or salary increase programs.
• Assists in determining eligibility for participation in compensation programs, such as annual incentive, commission, or merit increase plans.
• Processes wage and salary changes resulting from merit increases, promotions or other job changes, or market adjustments, and payments associated with commission or incentive compensation plans through work with HR Business Partners and Payroll.

Qualifications

Background Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, Experience)

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in HR Compensation role.
• Certified Compensation Profession (CPP) preferred.
• Excellent computer, written and verbal communication skills necessary.
• Excellent knowledge of Excel, inclusive of heavy formula use.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable working independently.
