Position Summary

This position is responsible for the credits and collections of customer accounts. The Collections Clerk will work with customers to maintain reasonable account balances and work through issues related to unpaid invoices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise assigned accounts to identify unresolved payments
  • Investigate historical data for each debt and bill
  • Monitor aged receivable accounts
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies
  • Determine and escalate collection measures
  • Prepare accounts reports and reconciliations as needed
  • Locate and contact clients to inquire about past due payments
  • Resolve billing and customer credit issues
  • Update account status records and collection efforts
  • Report on collection activity and accounts receivable status
  • Perform tasks, duties or special projects as assigned
Position Requirements

Education and Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year experience required
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Problem solving skills
  • Data entry accuracy with a high-volume transactions/accounts
  • Ability to meet deadlines and schedules
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Ability to respond to clients in a timely and professional manner
  • Comfortable working with targets
  • Committed to diversity and inclusion
  • Reliable transportation

Licenses & Certifications
  • Valid driver's license

Travel Requirements
  • Willingness to travel up to 5%
Estimated Wage Range: $16-$19 Per-Hour
