POSITION PURPOSE

Clubhouse Unit Leaders are responsible for delivering services to members.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – JOB SPECIFIC

• Management of Clubhouse units
o Planning, coordinating, and executing daily unit work with membership
o Working with membership to complete unit work and tasks side by side
o Modeling and adhering to the standards set by Clubhouse International
o Creatively encouraging and motivating members to participate in their rehabilitation
o Organizing, executing, and participating in some Evening, Weekend, and Holiday activities
o Actively participating in the fundraising efforts of the Clubhouse
o Completing frequent outreach of members who are not in attendance for each unit
o Assisting to meet the community needs of members
o Promoting the positive and inclusive culture of Clubhouse by cultivating genuine relationships with members
• Working with member to take steps towards independent employment and education in the community
• Documentation Requirements
o Developing Wellness Plan goals with members in unit
o Completing quarterly reviews of Wellness Plans
o Completing daily comments on progress notes with member in unit
o Completing annual informational paperwork with members
o Completing chart checks for members in unit when applicable
• Crisis Support in coordination with Treatment Team
• Participating in the TE (Transitional Employment) Program as a placement manager
o Providing on-the-job training and support for members
o Maintaining relationships with employers
• Adhering to Clubhouse International Standards and Philosophy, as well as organizational policies, procedures, and goals
• Participating in a 2-week Clubhouse Training and ongoing education on Clubhouse Model
• Transportation of members on 15 passenger van
• Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor

QUALIFICATION(S): EDUCATION

• High School/GED required
• Associate degree preferred
(If Associate’s degree is in a human service-related field and a practicum has been completed with Compass Health through the St. Charles Community College OTA program, no additional work experience is needed)
• Bachelor’s degree preferred

QUALIFICATION(S): WORK EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• At least four (4) years of experience OR a combination of higher education and experience required if a High School/GED is the highest education obtained
• At least two (2) years of experience OR a combination of higher education and experience required if an Associate’s degree is the highest education obtained
(*If the degree is an Associate’s of Applied Science in Behavioral Health Support from an approved institution; then no additional experience is required)
• At least one (1) year of experience required if a non-human service Bachelor’s degree is the highest education obtained
• All experience must include working with individuals with psychiatric, substance use, and/or developmental disabilities
• Experience and skill in programs for individuals with mental illness, particularly in regard to goal setting, consumer advocacy/support and utilization of community resource required
• A valid driver's license at the time of hire with the ability to obtain and maintain a Class E MO driver’s license by the end of the 60-day introductory period required
