The Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism has multiple exciting opportunities for two Full-Time Clinical Business Operations Representative. The Clinical Business Operations Representative facilitates the prompt resolution of problems related to pre- and post-care that arise in daily clinical operations. The incumbent in this position performs general administrative and clinical functions, to include answering incoming calls, efficient management of patients, and the acquisition of necessary patientcare and records. This role will also assist patients in a courteous, efficient, and professional manner and ensure adherence to divisional and departmental service standards.

• Responsible for all post visit care.
  
• Answer calls.
  
• Appointment confirmations. Handle appointment escalation requests. Schedule appointments as needed.
  
• Manage and resolve UChart messages.
• Submit lab order requests to provider.
  
• Process prescription refills.
  
• Process authorizations for medications and procedures. Process authorizations for patient having diagnostic testing at an external facility.
  
• Process medical supply requests by completing insurance forms and providing medical documentation.
  
• Obtain visit authorization if necessary.
  
• Scan DXA report into UChart.
  
• Serve as the liaison between patient and provider.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent
  
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  
• Medical knowledge preferred.
  
• UChart experience preferred.
  
• Demonstrates organizational skills
  
• Demonstrates ability to multi-task
  
• Bilingual (English/ Spanish) Preferred.
