The Department of Media invites applications for a clinical professor in media production to begin in Fall 2023. We seek an energetic scholar to work in a team-oriented department. An ideal candidate will show potential for teaching students both theoretical and professional dimensions of the department's main areas of study.

Applicants must be prepared to teach in one or more of the following clinical and professional fields of broadcasting and media production.

Digital Content Creation, which might include message, distribution analytics, project management, media and visual communication, entrepreneurial production, client management, and others.

Live Event Production, which might include broadcast, augmented experience, audience analysis, and coordination, executive production, team management, media planning, and others.

Essential Functions:

• Demonstrate dedication to teaching theory and practice appropriate to a pre-professional academic degree.
  
• Support experiential learning that helps students develop knowledge, skills, and abilities appropriate to integrated media and strategic communications careers.
  
• Contribute service to the department, the college, the university, and outside communities.
  
• Show commitment to a team-oriented department with curriculum-driven student learning.
  
• Demonstrate ability and willingness to collaborate across disciplines with other departments as relevant to teaching and scholarship.
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's degree.
  
• Evidence of at least five years of professional media production experience, by the time of appointment.
  
• Ability to teach mid-level hands-on classes in audio and video production.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Evidence of quality teaching at the undergraduate level.
  
• Broadcast experience.

Salary and Benefits:

Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Salary will be for a 9-month faculty appointment.
