General Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Director of the Office of Civil Rights and Title IX, and working closely with Human Resources Compensation & Benefits Analysts, the CRTIX Accommodations Administrator facilitates aspects of CRTIX operations focused on accommodations, including assisting in the coordination of religious and ADA/504 accommodations for students, faculty and staff, including accommodations related to COVID; coordination of supportive measures pursuant to Title IX and Massachusetts law; website updates; record-keeping related to investigations, training materials and schedules; general office administration; and other tasks related to compliance with the University's obligations under Title VI, Title VII, Title IX, the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and various Massachusetts civil rights laws. This is a one-year term-appointed position, with the possibility of extension.

Examples of Duties:

  • Works with the Ross Center for Disability Services and Human Resources to coordinate reasonable accommodations for student employees.
  • Works with CRTIX and Human Resources Compensation & Benefits Analysts to assist in providing reasonable accommodations to employees based on religion or disability, including accommodations related to COVID.
  • Works with CRTIX staff to directly provide reasonable accommodations for students with pregnancy and pregnancy-related conditions; accommodations for employees related to religious or spiritual beliefs; and temporary parking accommodations for community members with disabilities.
  • Works with University Facilities and Campus Services to publish and disseminate information about access to campus for individuals with disabilities, including information about accessible routes on campus.
  • Updates the CRTIX website as needed.
  • Manages CRTIX and partners' training schedule, and keeps records of training dates, materials, and attendees.
  • Performs related duties as assigned or required to meet University goals and objectives.
  • Understands responsibilities with respect to ADA/504, Title VI, Title VII, Title IX, Clery, Massachusetts law, and other compliance requirements.
  • Works collaboratively with other campus stakeholders to fulfill the mission of CRTIX.
  • Understands responsibilities with respect to conflicts of interest and behaves in ways consistent both with law and with University policy.
  • Contributes toward creating a positive and respectful workplace defined by personal and professional competence, integrity, and collaboration.
  • Understands and contributes to implementation of departmental and institutional goals for achieving non-discrimination and creating a respectful, inclusive environment that is supportive of diversity.
  • Uses access to sensitive and/or not yet public university related information only in the performance of the responsibilities of position and exercises care to prevent unnecessary disclosure to others.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure)

  • Bachelor's Degree and more than 1 year of relevant experience (preferably in higher education), student affairs, human services, special education, disability studies, rehabilitation counseling, social work or counseling.
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively with diverse populations across race, class, gender, sexuality, age, religion, ability, etc.
  • Knowledge of the characteristics and accommodation requirements of people with disabilities, with a focus on social, workplace, and educational experiences.

Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Certifications, Licensure)

  • Working knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as amended, section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act (1973), and other relevant federal, state, and local legislation; understanding of how legislation is applied to the higher education setting.
  • Knowledge of the characteristics and accommodation requirements of people with disabilities, with a focus on social, workplace, and educational experiences.

Salary Range: $75,000-$80,000

This is a non-union exempt position.

All official salary offers must be approved by Human Resources.
