The Department of Civil, Construction & Environmental Engineering at The University of Alabama invites applications for non-tenure renewable contract faculty positions. Exceptional applicants are sought that have a passion for teaching and curriculum development for undergraduate and graduate classes in civil, construction and architectural engineering. Candidates will be considered for a one year non-tenure track Assistant Professor position subject to annual renewal.

The CCEE department benefits from the College and University's expansion in enrollment and facilities including completion of the $300 million Shelby Engineering and Science Quadrangle in 2014 which provides nearly 1,000,000 square feet of state-of-the-art research and instructional space. Applicants must have a doctorate (Ph.D.) in civil engineering or a closely related field. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate a high performance level in the classroom, actively engage students, and take a leadership role in curricular matters.
