Responsibilities

NON PATIENT ACTIVITIES:
Performs non-patient activities according to unit needs. The Responsibility and Accountability meets standards when: (1) Keeps storage and kitchen areas,
patient rooms and locker room in clean and orderly fashion. (2) Keeps isolation equipment stocked. (3) Performs errands in an efficient manner such as
obtaining items from the store room and delivering specimens to lab pick up area.

ASSIST NURSING FUNCTION:
Administers and assists with resident care under the supervision of a registered nurse. The Responsibility and Accountability 'meets standards' when: (1)
Provides care to the residents by assisting with activities of daily living, transfers, mobility, dressing, eating and personal hygiene. (2) Administers and assists with
treatments and procedures as defined by policy. (3) Thoroughly documents all care provided as per procedure. (4) Communication: Observes and reports
changes in the resident's condition and or behavior to the registered Nurse promptly. Maintains open lines of communication with team for improvement in
resident outcomes and unit working processes. (5) Reports unsafe equipment and hazards to the Registered Nurse promptly. Demonstrates appropriate actions
during emergency drills and follows safety protocol when warranted. (6) Demonstrates flexibility and adapts to changing situations.

Qualifications

BLS CERTIFICATION
PA Nurse Aide Certification preferred
