Overview

The Card Operations Systems Specialist will serve in a supporting role to the Card Operations Technical Systems Administrator. Responsibilities also include improving the performance and supporting the maintenance of the Credit Union's card operations systems. These systems include, but are not limited to, credit card module, credit and debit processor/switch, card networks, instant issue systems and rewards providers. Additional responsibilities include trouble-shooting and proposing solutions for issues related to other ancillary vendors and systems that support files as well as reports and card related General Ledgers.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze data in support of systems management, maintenance and performance
  • Test and implement enhancements/innovations in Card Operations
  • Perform assigned projects; monitor and test periodic releases of core card systems
  • Troubleshoot issues with appropriate vendor and internal Information Technology support
  • Maintain and test production systems
  • Perform required monthly business reporting and quarterly brand reporting
  • Create job aids and conduct system training for newly hired staff members
  • Interact with all areas of the department to identify and troubleshoot any issues
  • Develop and maintain operational reports related to card activity, rewards trending, dispute/fraud performance and call queues
  • Act as IT liaison to resolve all system and software issues and upgrades
  • Provide regular updates on projects, system issues and alerts to the AVP of Card Services
  • Research and provide clearing instructions for out of balance general ledger items
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Remains cognizant of and adheres to NWFCU policies and procedures as well as regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
Qualifications

Required
  • High-school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of financial institution experience
  • Minimum 1 year of cards operations experience, including working knowledge of card operations systems
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
Preferred
  • Working knowledge of Tableau Reader
