We are looking for a Capital Project Manager to join our team in Boise, ID! The individual in this role would establish, implement, develop and control best practices for capital project management throughout Saint Alphonsus Health System in coordination with Home Office Capital Sourcing. Primary responsibilities would include: ample and timely communication with stakeholders, facilitating capital implementation on plan and within budget, and establishing project key performance metrics.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business or Project Management, or a Clinical Field required. Master's degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in managing system implementation projects required, preferably in supply chain and/or health care.
  • Course work or job experience in process flow, workflow reengineering, project planning and management required.
  • Extensive analytical knowledge/experience and broad business/hospital background.
  • Demonstrated experience in personnel management.
  • Clinical or hospital experience preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Requires knowledge of business and functional principles and concepts.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal & written.
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently organize work and maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to facilitate relations between business groups and clinical departments
  • Directs and manages development of all Capital projects within the health system from beginning to end as it relates to supply chain.
  • Develops best practices, techniques, and tools for project planning, execution, project management, ongoing milestone/deliverable tracking, communication, and key performance metrics.
  • Defines how the scope, goals, and deliverables of Capital projects should support business goals, at the direction of the Regional Supply Chain Director and in collaboration with regional Finance staff, Home Office Strategic Capital Sourcing, Regional Biomedical staff and capital project leaders.
  • Defines project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project lifecycle.
  • Effectively communicates and manages project expectations to project managers, owners, sponsors, team members, and other stakeholders in a clear and concise fashion.
  • Communicates project management standards and techniques to the appropriate training staff.
  • Establishes project timelines and milestones/deliverables using the appropriate tools.
  • Tracks and monitors all project milestones and deliverables, as it relates to supply chain.
  • Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical path, as it relates to supply chain.
  • Determines frequency and content of status reports from project managers, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas/mitigate project risks.
  • Accepts and assesses status reports, change requests, and requirements documentation to ensure smooth project progression.
  • Conducts project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • When required, negotiates with department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.
  • Coaches, mentors, motivates, and supervises project team members and influences them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Identifies and resolves issues and conflicts within and between various project teams.
  • Works with vendors for timely capital demonstrations.
  • Works collaboratively with Home Office in contract negotiations.
