Description:
This is a per diem position to fill-in for shifts in the Nutrition Services call center. Hours are 11:00 am -7:30 pm Mon, Wed and Fri with rotating weekends.

• Takes patient orders over the phone and in person while providing excellent customer service.
• Delivers carts to the correct floor or patient area.
• Serves trays to patients and determines if they need anything else.
• Ensures correct patient identity.
• Assists patients with opening containers and cutting food when requested.
• Assembles, retrieves and cleans patient trays.
• Assists in the dish room.
• Brews coffee and tea. May be required to restock other beverage areas.
• Restocks floor stock (if assigned) and follow standardized process related to floor stock.
• Attends all allergy and foodborne illness in-service training.
• Complies with all Trinity Health policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have food handling experience and be comfortable cleaning trays, assisting in the dish room.
• Previous healthcare or nutrition experience preferred.
• Must have basic computer knowledge.
• Basic knowledge related to hospital diets.
• Able to perform well in high functioning kitchen.
