In recent years, Hagerty has worked side-by-side with state and local governments across the country to rapidly respond to industrial accidents, wildfires, and pandemics while also supporting the transition to and management of recovery operations. Our professionals have supported response and recovery programs coast-to-coast, providing financial and grant management support throughout the recovery process, from grant formulation through closeout. In partnership with our clients, Hagerty's professionals have developed and managed more than $30 billion in disaster recovery grants for our clients.
We are looking for candidates with strong and demonstrated experience in business systems analysis and project management to join our team. The Business Systems Analyst will serve as a part of a team providing operational and organizational management support to a government organization in their long-term COVID operations. In this role, the Business Systems Analyst will serve in a key role engaging with governmental partners to support technology development and data automation initiatives.
This position will be primarily remote. Candidates should be willing to travel to CA to provide support to meet client needs.
For this position, the ideal candidate will:

  • Act as a liaison with governmental stakeholders and technological development partners to develop data exchange platform and associated executive dashboards.
  • Navigate and document complex departmental requirements and processes to identify solutions and opportunities for support.
  • Contribute to the development of training, communications, user-experience feedback, and documentation of relevant processes.
Candidates for the Technical Business Analyst must have:
  • A bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field.
  • Five (5) or more years of professional experience in business systems analysis.
  • Previous experience in technical writing, helping bridge the gap between engineers and end users.
  • Past experience working on technology and data analytics engagement.
Candidates for the Business Analyst may also have:
  • Experience working with Agile project management processes, including experience writing user stories and epics.
  • Previous experience with service design and product development planning/execution using modern human-centered and design thinking approaches to engaging with customers and users (e.g., persona and journey map development).
  • Knowledge of, or experience working with, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery as an applied practice (e.g., DevOps).
  • Experience working with Domain Driven Design (DDD) and facilitation practices, with specific experience in Event Storming. It is highly desirable if candidates have experience teaching others how to practice Event Storming.
