What We Are Looking For

The Senior Business Development Manager creates the short and long-term global go-to-market growth strategy for a Business Unit target market. They develop significant organizational-wide programs that drive top and bottom-line growth, including addressing market gaps and offering development. The Sr Business Development Manager performs robust voice of the customer, competitive analysis, and diagnosis and market segmentation to target right offerings and positions offerings appropriately in the market to win. They also lead offering development through the organizational matrix, partnering with key stakeholders (R&D, Marketing, Product Management, Sales, etc.) to test, adjust, and execute the determined plan in the market.

What You Will Do
  • Conduct and maintain business/market intelligence, quantitative and qualitative data, presentations, and sales analysis to identify and capitalize on the most advantageous macro business trends (technologies, customer need), and align the business to dynamic end market conditions
  • Drive Voice of Customer (VOC) and generate actionable insights from knowing customers at a deep level
  • Lead and develop go-to-market relationships within target markets to best understand value-added steps
  • Perform continuous competitor benchmarking, develop competitive scenarios (threats/trends), and apply appropriate tactical competitive approaches to build a short & long-term competitive advantage in the target market
  • Conduct robust market segmentation and targeting analysis for the target markets driving new business models and product development
  • Develop positioning strategy and build distinctive value propositions for target market relative to the market, customer, and competitive insights
  • Identify gaps and overlaps of product/service offerings within the identified target market and effectively recommend solutions
  • Develop 5-year insight-driven target market strategy to achieve Business Unit goals while ensuring functional and regional alignment to enable execution
  • Incubate breakthrough target market pipeline opportunities, including new offerings, products, business models, and effective deployment plans
  • Support the identification and evaluation of inorganic growth strategies including acquisitions, alliances, licensing, and partnership opportunities for the target markets
  • Understand offering pricing strategy to best position for value in the target market
  • Develop new channels, ensure long-term optimization of channel mix by geography, product groups and market segments
  • Align and design incentives and compensation for direct and indirect channels to motivate achievement of desired goals
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to create prominent level sales bridge to achieve target value proposition
What You Will Bring
  • Required Degree: Undergraduate degree in either engineering, business administration, finance, or marketing
  • Preferred Degree: MBA strongly preferred
  • Years of Experience: 10 or more years
  • Travel Requirements: International travel up to 20%
