The Global Management Information team provides business critical insights using analytics, ensuring cross functional alignment of goals and execution, and helps drive global strategic partnerships and new initiatives forward. The team focuses on aligning the highest-level company priorities with strong day-to-day operations and helps evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives.

The team is part of CPU's Global Core Operations organization which supports complex multi-region business units in pursuing the best strategy and executing flawlessly. Team members are experts in business strategy and operations, analytical, yet highly pragmatic and results oriented.

Reporting to the Global Manager, MI Reporting, the Business Analyst works in three main areas: developing and supporting global & regional reporting, defining and extracting ad-hoc reports and datasets, as well as providing stakeholder support. Essential to this role are proficiency with Power BI, SQL coding as well as intermediate excel skill.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborate with the team to design and build reporting solutions that meet project requirements, using standard development procedures and techniques
  • Compile, interpret and present findings to operations management team in a clear and concise manner
  • Create/monitor various executive internal reports
  • Update and maintain reporting configuration tables in SQL Business Intelligence (BI) warehouse
  • Conduct analysis, requirements gathering, testing, and recommendations related to changes and upgrades in the existing performance and reporting suite (a SQL data warehouse)
  • Demonstrated comprehension of the big-picture (Business-level process) needs, combined with strong analytical skills with Use Cases (Software-process flow) and most importantly assessing and leveraging enterprise data from multiple systems (information level analysis) using a variety of data modelling techniques
  • Lead or facilitate stakeholder requirement meetings to ensure that project goals and objectives are clearly defined and understood
  • Documentation of business requirements documents (BRDs) to drive project success
  • Contribute to migration/upgrade analysis and testing
What Will You Bring to The Role?

You will bring a strong background in data analysis and reporting, with experience using various analytical tools and software.

Key skills required for the role include:
  • 5+ years of experience within an analytical/report development role
  • Knowledge of SQL coding language and usage of SQL Server Management Studio
  • Proficiency in use of BI tools such as Power BI
  • Intermediate to expert knowledge of Excel (usage of pivot tables and formulas to provide reconciliations and analysis)
  • Ability to work with and understand large volumes of numerical based data sets
  • Well-developed business acumen and proven stakeholder consultative approach
  • Led or participated in analytical/research/development special projects
  • Detail-oriented with understanding of how to approach audit of report data to ensure high degree of accuracy
  • Broad exposure and understanding of many enterprise systems (e.g. Phones, Transactional systems, HR systems, other enterprise in-house applications)
  • Proven communication skills with stakeholders and management
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work independently
Preferred:
  • Experience with Operations processes and operational environments
  • Exposure to WFM software applications and principles
  • Familiarity with financial and performance benchmarking
