Job Description PURPOSE AND SCOPE:The Business Analyst, Procurement designs, delivers, and maintains business systems and application process solutions. Position defines business, financial and operations requirements and systems goals, prepares functional specifications for developers, and collaborates in the planning, design, development, testing, deployment and training of new or redesigned applications. Identifies complex, multi-faceted problems and takes immediate action to address them. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Meets with Supply Management Directors and staff to determine project needs, scope, stakeholders, and timelinesIdentifies business systems solution requirements by meeting with decision makers, systems owners and end users. Analyzes business, financial and operational work processes.¿ Evaluates options for developing and integrating new solutions, and identifies ways to improve data quality in order to improve processes and procedures for more streamlined efficienciesPerforms comparative analysis of functions, procedures, and PeopleSoft best practices; refines functional requirements to include: prioritization, elimination and consolidation. Creates, exports, and filters information to make it user friendly using the PeopleSoft Query and other analytical tools (e.g. Microsoft Power BI)Provides subject matter expertise for successful ongoing reporting, project activities, production support, enhancements and/or upgradesReviews assigned departments¿ business processes and assesses functionality with PeopleSoft and current analytical systems to determine functionality gaps. Works with Supply Management AVC and Directors to identify appropriate changes in the business processes and/or required software modificationsDevelops appropriate test cases necessary to perform validation testing on all required LSC modifications, customizations, fixes, interface, and patches. Participates in testing PeopleSoft updates/bundles/fixes/patches and conducts or facilitate testing for Quality assurance. Confers with technical analysts, programmers, and database analysts to run tests and ensures business processes are operating correctlyDocuments requirements for internal and external interfaces, reports, workflow, and security access that support Supply Management business processes and staffParticipates in PeopleSoft functional training in order to assist in the integration and implementation processes. WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS: Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipmentInterface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the positionWork is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceProject Management Training and Leadership and/or Management Training experienceExperience documenting business requirements and process designERP system experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Project Management Professional (PMP) CertificationPeopleSoft experienceParticipation in at least 2 full-cycle PeopleSoft module implementations Salary

Hiring salary range is $63,014 - $72,466

Lone Star College provides a hiring salary range for all posted full-time non-faculty positions. Where your salary offer would fall in that range is determined by your related experience and education. Should you receive an offer of employment from Lone Star College, the resume submitted in the application process will be utilized to calculate your salary offer.
