Job Summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified individual to fill the level three Business Analyst position and to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The Business Analyst role is pivotal in providing comprehensive operations and executive support to the OTTI Government Leadership Team. Key responsibilities include strategic and programmatic communication assistance from inception to implementation, ensuring adherence to organizational standards for high-quality deliverables, and proficiently preparing reports and presentations through meticulous data analysis and synthesis.

This role actively contributes to group projects, maintains organized SharePoint and document libraries sourced from various briefings and documentation, and oversees incoming correspondence and taskings. Additionally, it entails facilitating seamless operations, including calendar management, travel coordination, meeting logistics, visitor management, and ensuring adherence to security protocols.

Moreover, the position involves drafting various documents such as memorandums, letters, reports, and spreadsheets, while also managing file organization and assisting in the development and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Business Analyst coordinates events and meetings at various levels, manages visitor protocols, and ensures office supply inventory is efficiently maintained.

Job Requirements:

Skills / Experience Required

  • 10+ years' hands-on experience within the Department of Defense
  • Identify and collect precise execution performance data for ETMS2 tasks across the OTTI PEO staff
  • Conduct accurate analyses to evaluate the overall health of tasks
  • Offer a comprehensive perspective on ETMS2 tasks, guiding them from initiation to completion
  • Effectively assign tasks to teams within ETMS2
  • Thoroughly review each task and proficiently sub-assign taskers to the relevant offices
  • Create levels of sub-assignments as required
  • Skillfully manage and communicate task status updates
  • Send timely notifications to encourage task completions within established deadlines • Generate and present real-time status and response reports
  • Enable immediate updates to reflect changing situations
  • Provide a weekly status report on Past Due/Coming Due tasks to the government
  • Deliver detailed analysis, evaluations, and recommendations for improvements, optimization, development, and maintenance efforts, especially within a Space Program Office or MAJCOM
  • Demonstrate knowledge of program management concepts and a proven track record of implementing them in real-world situations • Exhibit strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines effectively
  • Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision

  • Bachelor's degree although equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

Security Clearance

Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.
