We are the North American leader in specialty aerosol and liquid product manufacturing. PLZ specializes in the development, manufacturing, packaging, and distribution of a comprehensive line of contract fill, branded, and private-label products. We formulate, blend, fill, and package more than 2,500 branded and private label products across industries.

PLZ is hiring a Blow Mold Supervisor based at the Clinton, MO facility.

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Manage, direct, support, train, and evaluate all reporting personnel in the blow mold department.
  • Address employee evaluation and performance issues.
  • Coordinate and plan manufacturing processes and material requirements for blow molding operation.
  • Review, provide, and schedule adequate shop floor resources to meet customer requirements.
  • Coordinate blow mold material receiving, handling, and storage within existing processes.
  • Participate in Production Scheduling Meetings and coordinate/deploy personnel accordingly to accommodate 5- or 7-day production schedule.
  • Minimize out of stock situations on all blown products.
  • Review and check process control documents and tools.
  • Review, coordinate, implement, and monitor quality system checks and procedures.
  • Utilize and practice Risk Management Concepts and PDCA Techniques.
  • Participate in the identification and continual improvement of organizational processes.
  • Identify suspected non-conformances and initiate/support corrective action.
  • Ensure proper machine operations through coordination with Maintenance Manager.
  • Oversee blow mold shop floor housekeeping.
  • Participate in and support the Management Review Process.
  • Define, implement, monitor and report Performance Measurement information at the Management Review Meeting.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • College degree preferred
  • 2+ years in a manufacturing leadership role
  • Experience in Blow Molding/Injection Molding preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in using Lean management tools including Kaizen and 5s
  • Demonstrated commitment to promoting strong safety culture
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office suite, emphasis on Excel and SAP software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent project and time management skills
  • Bilingual (English, Spanish) is a plus
