Job Purpose

Under the direction of the Director of Innovation, the BI Developer role includes the design, development, and maintenance of the data warehouse and the consumption layer. This position is responsible for working to maintain and manage the current data warehouse and provide direct business user support.

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into high level technical designs for BI solutions
• Apply rapid prototyping and iterative development methodologies as appropriate to ensure solution keeps pace with business needs
• Manage and monitor existing ETL processes and data warehouse
• Design and implement new features and enhancements to the existing data warehouse data model
• Collaborate with business partners to design and develop reports and dashboards
• Collaborate with business partners for ad hoc data requests from the data warehouse
• Collaborate with teams to integrate systems
• Research and resolve data integrity and performance needs
• Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting
• Evaluate and improve existing BI systems
• Maintain and support data analytics platforms (e.g. Microsoft)
• Additional projects and duties may be assigned to this position as deemed necessary

Qualifications and Skills

• 4-Year Bachelor's degree in relevant field
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in BI development
• Microsoft SQL Server
• Microsoft SSIS / SSRS
• Power BI
• Knowledge of BI theories & best practices
• Time management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to read and understand software requirements
• Ability to read, understand, and maintain existing code
• Ability to write high quality, maintainable code
• Ability to work independently to test and debug code
• Ability to travel to field venues occasionally (less than 5%)

Working Conditions

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Ability to stand for hours at a time assisting with venue openings and other projects
• Ability to travel, unassisted to special events and to support major initiatives
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time without assistance
