Serving the people of Southwestern Alaska, the Yukon-Kuskokwim Hospital is a 50-bed general acute care medical facility. Fully accredited by TJC, services include adult med/surg, pediatrics, obstetrics, emergency room, as well as outpatient family medicine clinics, pharmacy, lab, and imaging.

Position Summary:

This position is located in Bethel, and provides supervision to Behavioral Health Clinicians, Case-Managers, and Counselors. Responsible for collaborating with the Directing Village Clinical Supervisor on referrals to the villages. Provide supervision and clinical direction to Family Center and Intake Department. Provides clinical services, including integrated assessments, mental health assessments, maintaining caseload, treatment, referrals, supervision ( as assigned), and collaboration. Carry out administrative duties as directed by Director of Outpatient Services in Behavioral Health.

Position Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential job element satisfactorily.   • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Nursing with a specialty in Mental Health.
  • Clinical supervisory experience preferred.
  • Three (3) years clinical experience providing various behavioral health direct services performed at a satisfactory level.
  • Experience in a cross-cultural setting, preferably with Native American cultures.
  • Appropriate State of Alaska licensure required or must be able to obtain it within 3 months of hire
  • Computer literacy required
  • Supervise Behavioral Health Clinicians, Case-Managers, and Counselors.
