POSITION SUMMARY:

The Barback works behind-the-scenes to create memorable guest experiences by supporting the bartenders and waiters, performing various bar tasks, such as restocking the bar and preparing garnishes. Whether working in an on-trend national brand, or an iconic concept from the local community, you will create and deliver first-class experiences for the traveling public.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

All Paradies Lagardère positions, including the Barback, require that you embody a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service with a smile to customers and team members at all times. You must embrace our family culture by following our core values, TRIFIC (Trust, Respect, Integrity, First-Class, Innovation, Commitment), recognize and satisfy all restaurant guests as well as be accountable to the Company and Restaurant Managers. The following are intended as basic requirements. Success will come to the individual who can expand upon these job requirements and truly provide a memorable experience. These requirements/functions may change throughout their employment.

* Exceed First Class Service standards and behavior with guests, business partners, and peers.
* Maintain a professional company image by adhering to all grooming and uniform guidelines, including slip resistant shoes.
* Ensure all tables, counters, and other bar areas are clean and set according to standard.
* Collect empty bottles and glasses.
* Bus tables, load and unload glass washing machines.
* Store clean dishes, glasses, and equipment appropriately.
* Prepare mixers, juices, and cocktail garnishes.
* Change out beer kegs safely, requesting assistance when needed.
* Restock liquor bottles.
* Refill ice binsRemove trash and wipe down drink spills.
* Ensure bar area is stocked with necessary supplies.
* Maintain records and report levels of usage to assist in the reordering process. Ensure delivered items are stored
and secured properly.
* Must go above and beyond for guests and other team members.
* Enthusiastically supports decisions once they have been made by management.
* Ability to take direction and collaborate in a team environment.
* Follows health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
* Maintain a clean organized work environment that is free of safety hazards which may include sweeping and mopping.
* Accountable for compliance with all local, state, federal laws, and regulations including those relating to food safety.
* Knowledgeable about menu items and cocktail recipes, preparing drinks to assist bartenders and servers during peak periods.
* Use point-of-sale system to accurately place orders, open tabs, and process payments to assist bartenders and servers during peak periods.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS:

* High School diploma or GED.
* ServeSafe Certification or equivalent preferred.
* TIPS Certification or equivalent, preferred.
* Food and Beverage experience is preferred but not required.
* Ability to take direction and collaborate in a team environment.
* Ability to work in a high energy and demanding environment.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as with other team members .
* Able to work unsupervised for extensive periods, and to demonstrate good judgment when dealing with customers and peers.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

* Minimum age to serve alcohol.
* Ability to work various shifts in a 7/365 team-oriented environment including nights, weekends, and holidays.
* Excellent customer service skills and an ability to communicate effectively, in English.
* Strong self-motivation and organizational skills.
* Positive interpersonal skills.
* Self-starter able to prioritize and handle various tasks simultaneously.
* Ability to adapt to changing priorities and unexpected situations.
* Proficiency required in reading, writing, and mathematics in English.
* Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. perform essential job functions such as standing, bending, reaching, gripping, climbing on a ladder, and walking long distances.
* Standing for long periods of time and the ability to work in an environment with varying temperatures.
