The B2B Petcare Medical Education Manager will lead the strategy and execution of Medical Education Initiatives within the Petcare organization. Core responsibilities will focus on medical education within the conference channel and other national programs which supports areas of disease state interest along with the safe and appropriate use of our products. Responsibilities in the development of a long-term strategy within Med Ed that supports our brand portfolio and the changing dynamics of the industry. Critical to the success of this role is collaboration with our marketing and medical leads to ensure we are aligned in our communication.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively evaluate the evolving communication platforms and innovative alternatives for medical education to ensure efficient and effective delivery of our messages
  • Primary lead for sponsorship of medical education within the Conference channel and other strategic partnerships
  • Primary resource for maintenance of sponsored 3rd party websites to ensure compliance and pull through of medical education tactics
  • Work collaboratively with medical education partners and our conference manager in the execution of our medical education placement
  • Responsible for digital and printed assets to support medical education
  • Track KPI's, customer journeys' and work closely with NGSE team to ensure appropriate follow up is in place
  • Financial responsibility for medical education budget
  • Ensure broader (and evolving) goals of organization are achieved through efforts (ex. Contact acquisition/enrichment, customer data for lead generation, etc.)
  • Attendance at all major conferences which include: VMX, WVC, AVMA and others as needed

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Verified project management skills
  • Problem solving skills and ability to motivate a team
  • A strong foundation in medical education, principles of adult learning, and education outcomes assessment
  • Applies sound judgment and innovative thinking to solve problems and make timely business decisions including triage to appropriate internal stake holders
  • Working knowledge of the regulatory and legal environment for KOL's within the health Industry
  • Demonstrated planning and execution skills across multiple projects to deliver materials in an organized and timely manner
  • Strong presentation/facilitation skills with large and small audiences
  • Responsible steward of Zoetis resources
  • Ability to work in a matrix and lead without authority
  • Ability to travel 15% or more as needed

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS
  • 4 years' experience in direct marketing, sales, medical education and/or KOL management with a strong track record of driving effective business results
  • Excellent understanding of science-based marketing, customer needs, and the marketing process
  • Experience in developing unique and impactful medical education opportunities to achieve goals of organization
  • Strong negotiation skills to achieve optimal ROI in medical education and KOL partnerships
  • Credible and influential among sales and marketing colleagues with proven ability to develop internal partnerships and collaborate across functions and business divisions.
  • Experience directing and managing agency relationships
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
