General Purpose:

Develop relationships and provide excellent customer service to assigned customers. Perform daily tasks related to balancing raw and condensed milk. Provide reporting for ingredients sales and balancing. Complete corrective action reports and provide customer quality reports. Support the team as needed with analytics.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with Ingredient customers through visits and meetings. Research and resolve customer issues/concerns in a timely manner to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Create and maintain reporting related to sales (delivery performance, quality, orders)
  • Monitor raw milk supply and demand daily. Assess balancing needs when milk is surplus or deficit. Assist with finding solutions and communicate accordingly.
  • Build relationships with DFA Mideast Area balancing plant contacts. Communicate routinely on milk intake, inventories, and balancing needs.
  • Build relationships with corporate Liquid Ingredients team and communicate routinely regarding condensed skim milk balancing needs.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, and Logistics team on balancing situation to provide the best financial return for our member-owners.
  • Build relationships with other milk suppliers and spot sale customers. Assist with coordinating sales and purchases as needed.
  • Develop and maintain reporting on raw milk and condensed milk balancing volumes and values.
  • Complete Corrective Action Reports (CARs) in a timely manner in coordination with other staff members
  • Run the rejections for the Customer Care Scorecards (CCSC’s)
  • Maintain, update, and distribute Out of Compliance reports to staff and follow up on issues as they arise
  • Run the Butterfat and Weight Out of Spec reports for assigned plants
  • Create and complete other corrective action reports and reinstatement requests as they arise
  • Collaborate with and support the Sales, Marketing, and Logistics team. Serve as backup for the customer invoicing process. Support team on sustainability and FARM customer requirements and on special projects as needed.
  • Monitor and work to reduce waiting time for raw milk
  • Work with other departments to continue maintenance of high-quality products and performance for customers
  • Support mobile manifest implementation across customers
  • Utilize and leverage technologies to assist with communication and apply best practices and improve productivity

Requirements

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, agricultural science or other similar field of study. An emphasis on coursework in marketing, marketing research, statistics and/or decision support is preferred.
  • One to three years of relevant work experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of / experience in the dairy, livestock, agriculture or food and beverage industry preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of / experience in logistics or inventory planning preferred, but not required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Intermediate skill using Microsoft Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Power BI software
  • Experience with SAP or similar platform preferred.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written form)
  • Work independently
  • Manage multiple priorities, attention to detail and willingness to learn new tasks
  • Excellent ability to communicate with a broad spectrum of stakeholders
  • Excellent problem-solving ability and judgment
  • Excellent analytical ability
  • Valid driver’s license with no significant restrictions or violations
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
Travel:
  • 15%-25% (1-2 times per quarter)
