Associate Human Resources Generalist
Remote - US

Ecoplexus is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Associate Human Resources Generalist
who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

The Human Resources Generalist works extensively and cooperatively with the VP of Human Resources and is responsible for assisting the VP of HR in carrying out Human Resources activities including but not limited to compliance, performance management, training and development, employee relations, employee engagement, onboarding, benefits, and compensation management. The Human Resources Generalist is a team player who will ensure that employee relation functions conform to all applicable regulatory requirements and works closely with the management team in supporting and promoting policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain HRIS Systems
  • Be a champion and advocate of our mission, values and culture by developing and implementing innovative ways to drive a positive, engaging, motivating culture aimed at employee satisfaction and business results.
  • Assist in the execution of various global and local entity people management policies/processes related to recruiting, organization development, professional development, training, performance management, compensation & benefits, etc.
  • Manage day-to-day operational components of the HR function and multiple projects in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial team.
  • Implement the HR infrastructure to scale the company from internal benefits administration to employee retention to developing and delivering all necessary HR policies.
  • Review, interpret, administer and ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws (including, but not limited to, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, FFRCA, OSHA, Worker Compensation, etc.) and company policies and procedures.
  • Own the employee experience and provide day-to-day support to employees and leaders across the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding/offboarding, employment policies, HRIS and benefits.
  • Support staff members with questions regarding benefits, systems, performance, company programs and policies.
  • Participate in creating SOPs for procedures
  • Assist with COVID-19 protocols
  • Maintain and verifying employee records
  • Responsible for data entry
  • Assist with performance management procedures
  • Update records of new staff
  • Assist with HR projects
  • Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practice
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Skills:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Human Resources
  • Understanding of state and federal employment regulations
  • Understanding of personnel and compliance records management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Demonstrated motivation and initiative to succeed
  • Familiarity with Sage HRIS System a plus
  • Proactive
  • Attention to details
  • Quick to learn/ adaptable to our culture
  • Working under pressure and ambiguity
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • 1-2 years Human Resources Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in supporting remote workers
  • SPHR/PHR certification a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook)
