Job Summary

Leading in driving culture change, partnering with leadership to lead both strategic, operational, and behavioral changes that transform the business. Act as a trusted advisor to global business leaders connect & integrate insights into critical people strategies and hold others accountable for delivering on these. Coach & enable leaders to consistently embody the culture needed & improve the effectiveness of leadership teams, whilst also enhancing manager effectiveness & capability. Identify, explore and leverage synergies across the global HR team to maximize collective business impact. Identify and action opportunities for automation, manager and employee self-service. Develop clear service level standards that define expectations and create accountability for delivering enhanced value through People Operations Services.

Job Description

  • Provides professional, effective and customer focused HR expertise to support the delivery of the Otsuka Pharmaceutical Global Strategy i.e. talent management, succession planning, recruitment, performance management, training and development, reward and recognition
  • Works with the Global Heads of Function and Line Managers to proactively plan recruitment in relation to employee needs; partners with talent acquisition team and recommends the most effective recruitment and selection solutions
  • Provides advice, education and coaching on employee relation issues to ensure compliance with European and global legal requirements; manages, investigates and provides a consultative service on all disciplinary matters
  • Actively supports/monitors the on-boarding process and provides guidance and coaching at management level
  • Drives the understanding and application of a consistent and fair performance management process across the business; ensures consistency in the rating of performance and values and behaviours through guidance/coaching/measurement clarity
  • Works with the Global Heads of Functions to establish processes to monitor, analyse and proactively influence employee KPI measures in order to identify and deliver actions (retention, turnover, sickness absence)
  • Work closely with the HRBPs to align on process to ensure consistent approach is followed.
  • Works in partnership with the Global Total rewards teams to ensures the consistent and fair application of pay and reward across the business
  • Check Payroll activities for Global Employees, including liaison with HR Admin teams across, Payroll providers across EU and checking payroll accuracy for Global EU Employees
  • Conduct all activities in full compliance with relevant EU and global laws, the European and Global Code of Conduct, relevant policies, and procedures
  • Own the creation, documentation, and management of the end-to-end global employee lifecycle processes including new hire processing, on-boarding and integration, employee relations, exits, and maintenance of global employee records
  • Identify and action opportunities for automation, manager and employee self-service
  • Develop clear service level standards that define expectations and create accountability for delivering enhanced value through People Operations Services
  • Collaborate with counterparts in other domestic and global regions to build synergies and consistency. Provide guidance on the application of key People policies and practices across affiliate offices.
  • Partner to build dashboards & reporting to enable transparency and access to information and metrics that inform People and business leaders
  • Partner with vendors and ensure good service delivery and accountability of the services provided to the team.
  • Staying abreast of changes to local/global laws that may impact or require changes to personnel policies and internal processes.


Qualifications

Required
  • A minimum of 7-8 years of human resource with three to five years' global HR experience.
  • A bachelor's degree in business administration or human resources, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Works council/union experience preferred
  • GPHR (Global Professional in Human Resources) or SHRM
  • Travel required (10-20
  • Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential preferred.
  • Workday experience strongly preferred
  • Pharmaceutical experience preferred
  • Detailed understanding of Global HR functions, processes, and best practices
  • High level of organization, managing risk and decision-making skills working in a fast-paced environment
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to identify problems and systematically gather data, identify root causes and address data integrity issues required.
  • Excellent communication skills; written, oral and listening
