Summary:
The initial responsibility of the Associate Account Manager is to assist with Policy Services administrative activities while training to handle their own territory. Once a territory is assigned, their primary responsibility will be to independently manage the assigned territory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

50% Manage a territory with approximately 1,000-1,500 policy renewals annually after approximately 6 months of hire. This may include the following:

  • Initiate proactive communication with insureds as needed
  • Contact potential/current policyholders for additional information and/or documentation regarding renewal questionnaires or general requests as directed from underwriting
  • Reply promptly to inbound territory emails and fax requests

40% Handle 300-500 monthly incoming phone calls including basic inquiries, payment related questions and requests before forwarding to an Account Manager for more detailed conversation

5% Manage certificate of insurance holder requests, claim histories, and returned mail

5% Perform other duties as directed by management

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred
  • Minimum two years customer service experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
  • Communicates clearly and concisely both verbally and written, utilizing proper grammar
  • Works well in a team environment, balancing individual and team priorities
  • Display initiative and ability to proactively prioritize and perform work
  • Maintain the highest standard of ethics and conveys professionalism
  • Display a pleasant demeanor and positive disposition
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products
  • Knowledge of eOasis and/or OnBase a plus
  • Licensed in Property & Casualty a plus. Required to pass Property & Casualty exam within 3 months of hire.
