Essential Function

Assistant Service Center Manager provides on-site leadership, motivation and direction for the service center staff, aligning the staff with TCU's performance measures and member service expectations. Additionally, the Assistant Service Center Manager directs daily service center operations, ensuring compliance with internal controls, operations controls, and risk management as directed.

Primary Responsibilities & Duties

1. Assists and supports the Service Center Manager in maintaining appropriate staffing levels, team member supervision, and on-going team member development through consistent training, coaching and development activities.

2. Assists and supports the Service Center Manager in maintaining quality and professionalism of staff during their daily interactions with the membership.

3. Accepts primary responsibility for ensuring all service center procedures, processes, audits, and documents are in accordance with established TCU guidelines and regulations.

4. Supports and assists Service Center Manager in growth and performance of the service center that aligns with TCU's strategic direction as measured by performance measures and goals, while utilizing and embracing TCU directed tools and resources.

5. Assists and support Service Center Manager in cultivating and leading excellence in member service including embracing TCU directed tools and resources.

6. Assists and facilitates team meetings which discuss product knowledge, sales skills, operational procedures, etc.

7. Assists in enhancing awareness of TCU in the communities of which it is a part through involvement in TCU approved civic and community activities.

8. Will assume additional responsibilities necessary for the growth of the service center, growth of the service center staff, and as assigned.

9. Assumes additional responsibilities as necessary for the continued growth and advancement of the Credit Union.

Specific Skills

  • Excellent human relations skills including verbal and written communication skills.
  •  Clear understanding of TCU philosophy, vision and strategic objectives; as well as, the ability to communicate it to others.
  • Strong coaching, development and leadership skills and have a basic understanding of Human Resource practices.
  • Strong background/understanding of service center operations, procedures, and security policies.
  • Positive leader of change and foster open communication.
  • Self-driven.
  • Able to meet and exceed goals.
  • Able to organize and prioritize daily tasks.
  • General understanding of related computer applications.

Accountability

  • Instrumental in meeting branch goals and teller sales goals through teller observation, feedback, setting team goals, and analysis of team sales progress.
  •  Individual lending limit will vary.
  • Accountable for understanding and applying TCU policies and procedures relating to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA/AML, CIP and OFAC).
  • Responsible for the direct Supervision of Branch staff.
  • Accountable for the proper documentation of loans and other services, and adherence to Teachers Credit Union's polices including branch security and sound lending practices.
  • In the absence of the Branch Manager, acts as the final branch authority in daily decisions and is accountable for such decisions.
  • Involvement in TCU promotional activities, community and professional organizations are integral to this position.
  • Accountable for Performance Management Goals as agreed upon with Supervisor.
  • Accountable for understanding and applying government laws and regulations and TCU policies and procedures relating to the Anti-Money Laundering Regulations including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), US PATRIOT ACT and OFAC.

Minimum Requirement

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification.
  • 2-3 years of financial services industry experience or 3-5 years supervisory experience in a retail environment.


Exempt

Annual Salary

Starting at a minimum of $55,000.00 and higher.
