Hays is exclusively partnered with a leading tier one general contractor, whose reputation is exemplary within the construction industry. Due to continued demand and expansion, the team are now hiring an Assistant Project Manager to join their team on large scale multifamily and student-living projects. The ability and willingness to travel as part of your role is required as project locations include MI, IN, NC, CT and OH.

Your new role

As Assistant Project Manager, you will be responsible for providing direct support to project management and field supervision staff as well as assisting them with the overall direction, safety, completion, and financial outcome of the project from initial budget through project completion. At project start-up, you will work with the project team to develop a project strategy and clearly define project responsibilities.

What you'll need to succeed

To apply for this Assistant Project Manager position you will need a minimum of three years' experience working within the construction industry and will preferably have a BS in a construction related discipline. Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Project or equivalent is required. Previous experience with On-Screen Takeoff, Sage CRE 300 (Timberline Project Management), Procore and Bluebeam or similar software preferred. Experience working on multifamily and/or student living sector construction projects is strongly preferred.
