Essential Functions: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position:

  • Create and manage title assortments using Blue Yonder software systems (Assortment Optimization) ensuring all company deadlines and standards are met.
  • Coordinate with space planning team to ensure planogram and seasonal/promotional integrity and accuracy for planograms within areas of responsibility, including correct in store dates, product mix, store lists and prepack set ups.
  • Working with the space planning team, execute planogram changes due to in store date changes, drop-ins, title drops, available inventory, customer requests, or any other scenarios requiring planogram maintenance.
  • Create and run planogram and data analysis reporting within Blue Yonder software system.
  • Monitor and analyze space productivity to identify trends, issues, and opportunities, and provide feedback to key stakeholders in search of analytical-based recommendations and solutions.
  • Attend publisher product presentations and prepare reports to reference during presentations.
  • Assist in the preparation of customer product presentations, including creating, saving, and organizing presentation materials, samples, and reporting.
  • Pull weekly sales/buying reports and ad hoc reports for analysis utilizing Power Bl reporting tools.

Non-Essential Functions:
  • Help build and maintain long-term relationships with our customers and publishers.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks and work extra hours to keep projects on schedule.
  • Manage product samples: requesting, unpacking, staging, and shipping to customers.
  • Other duties may be assigned, directed, or requested by product management team.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or general educational development (GED) diploma or certificate required.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum two (2) years' experience in Blue Yonder software (JDA), including Space Planning preferred.
  • Minimum (2) plus years' experience in product management preferred.
  • Minimum (2) years' experience in Power Bl preferred.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite highly valued, specifically Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and V-look up function.

Language Skills:
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to speak with all levels of the organization and outside partners.
  • Familiarity with publishing industry terms beneficial.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Mathematical Skills:
  • Must be proficient in basic mathematics: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to do algebra, calculate figures and amounts, and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to do statistical analysis.
  • Ability to mathematically analyze and plan to meet financial goals.

Reasoning Ability:
  • Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions in written or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving variables.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to travel to customers, vendors and trade shows as necessary.
  • Must be able to sit up to eight (8) hours in a day.
  • Must be able to walk intermittently throughout the day.
  • Will occasionally have to bend, stoop, kneel and squat.
  • Will frequently have to reach out with hands and arms.
  • Will occasionally have to lift and/or carry up to 10 pounds.
  • Will frequently have repetitive hand/arm movement, firm grasping.
  • Will occasionally have repetitive hand/arm movement for fine hand manipulation.
  • Specific vision ability required for this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
  • The work performed is in an office environment.
  • Periodic travel to customers, vendors, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Employee is occasionally exposed to vibration and dust.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate at low decibels.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, team environment.
