The Indoor Volleyball Assistant Coach will work directly with the Head Coach and assist in completing tasks on and off the court in various aspects.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists head coach with office work that is required by the University and the program needs.Assists head coach with all on-court training, team travel planning, and gear ordering for the program.Compliance with the rules and regulations of the University, the NCAA, and the ASUN Conference. The overall responsibility of this position is for the successful operation of the program in full compliance with all such rules and regulations. As a condition of employment, the Employee shall be required to participate in rules education programs offered by the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.Have the ability to edit and review videos of practice and matches with the head coach.Coordinates with media information and responds to related questions.Serves as the liaison for support groups and other job-related work.Makes travel arrangements and other administrative functions. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Skills

Have the ability to do drills hitting to players including practicing against players to bring the competition level up.Organizational skills with basic computer technology skills like word processing, PPT, and Excel.Volleyball skills to be able to hit, serve, pass balls, and play if needed.

Required Experience

• Understand college-level volleyball skill sets and have at least 2 years of coaching experience including volunteer/GA position. Have an open mind willing to learn with a good work ethic. Organized who is willing to work beyond normal 8-5 daily schedule. Enjoying travel and working with people. Having a purpose of providing and helping others at same time holding self a high role model standard

Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record as determined by the University's auto insurance carrier.
