SUMMARY

Assist in or drive end-to-end development of automotive diagnostic testing applications using a combination of proprietary and industry-standard software and hardware diagnostic tools.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work closely with current and potential customers to develop customer requirements.
• With the use of proprietary and industry standard tools, develop and maintain MAHLE diagnostic applications.
• Develop Acceptance Test Plans and test diagnostic applications to ensure that the design intent and customer requirements are met.
• Assist in development of the appropriate level of documentation required for new diagnostic applications.
• Contribute to the development of new products for diagnostic testing and continuous enhancement of existing products through active interaction with geographically distributed software and hardware teams and customers.
• Provide launch support for deployment of software and application changes at various local, national and international customer locations.
• Comply with Company policies, procedures, guidelines and standards
• Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Engineering, Technology) desired, or Associate's Degree/Technical Certifications with 1-2 years of related experience.
  
• Experience with vehicle diagnostic tools considered a strong plus
  
• Knowledge of vehicle components and diagnostics a plus
  
• Demonstrated ability to learn software applications quickly
  
• Outstanding communication and customer-facing skills required
  
• International and domestic travel may be required, approximately 35%
  
• Exposure to software applications dealing with vehicle quality in plants and/or dealerships considered a strong plus
  
• Past experience with working in a manufacturing environment considered a strong plus
  
• Good oral and written communication skills
  
• Project specific technical skills
