What You'll Do: The Application Developer will be dedicated to supporting the Master Data Management (MDM) initiative.  This involves supporting the MDM tools and integration services being developed as part of the client/member MDM strategy.  This role will also play an integral role in the development of WebServices that will integrate existing Farm Bureau applications to the new MDM Application set. You will also:

• Conduct research and maintain high level of knowledge in systems software/hardware to ensure operations and implementations are of the highest quality.  Assist the business with process improvements where needed.
• Design complex technology configurations to satisfy business requirements and create, execute and maintain project plans for complex systems.
• Participate in the integration of new systems and recommend new technology. 
• Communicate with developers on the problem resolution process and provide information pertaining to the system.  Verify application logic by preparing test data and test plans, test and debug system applications, verifying test results and by providing guidance to others.
• Direct or perform systems-related special projects as requested.

What It Takes to Join Our Team:

• College degree or equivalent plus 2-5 years of relevant experience is required.
• Proficient in Java and creating services as well as the willingness to learn Informatica and other vendor tools as needed.
• In-depth understanding of integrated services' criticality to an organization
• Knowledge of data handling methods and development techniques.
• Critical thinking skills to tackle moderate to highly complex business solutions needed.
• Exceptional analytical, problem solving, time management and documentation skills.
• Must be a team player who is also able to work individually.
• Must have a customer service attitude at all times in order to develop strong relationships with internal and external customers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers and explain technical issues to non-technical colleagues.
