ECS is seeking a Agile Transformation Lead to work in our Washington, DC office.

ECS is seeking an Agile Transformation Lead to work for a strategic Portfolio of epics/projects in support of our National Security client. The scope of the position includes Lean Portfolio Management, Lean-Agile thinking, and Lean Change Management to achieve Mission Agility across a diverse portfolio of Intelligence programs. This position is in Ballston, VA (Arlington) with the option for fully remote work.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Help co-create strategic themes and roadmaps
  • Co-train teams and ARTs with SAFe
  • "On the job" training of teams and programs at all levels of experience
  • Support the creation of growth of Communities of Practice (CoPs)
  • Participate in the delivery of a Change Coalition
  • Experience with Lean Change Management, promoting the values, principles, and practices of Lean-Agile and DevSecOps concepts
  • Assist with the design and collection of outcome-based metrics
  • Perform risk management, including identifying, prioritizing, and mitigating risks, and communicating and escalating risks and issues
  • Support Management of projects within schedule and budget and defined by the Government
  • Serve as a Senior Consultant to a client overseeing organizational change, strategic planning, governance, or development and support of systems in the federal space
  • Work with Stream Aligned, Platform, Complicated, and Enabling teams
  • Maintain responsibility for the delivery of work products
  • Oversee implementation of standardized processes and deliverables
  • Establish and monitor schedules; identify resource needs and assign individual responsibilities
  • Manage client interaction and expectations regarding team efforts
  • Identify and coordinate cross-team dependencies and collaboration
  • Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction, develop and deepen long-lasting client relationships
Required Skills:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
  • 10+ years industry experience
  • 5+ years as an Agile Coach, Transformation Lead, or equivalent for Teams of Teams
  • 3+ years working with senior leadership on continuous improvement
  • 2+ years as an active SAFe Program Consultant (SPC)
  • 1+ years direct experience with the Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
  • Experience applying and coaching customers and partners in Lean-Agile principles
  • An ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical users
  • Experience in establishing OKRs and KPIs to measure the impact of teams and systems
  • Must be able to work well both in a team environment and independently
  • Must possess exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Familiarity with government programs and policy/procedures teams
  • Demonstrates ability to interact comfortably with Senior Leadership and/or Government Executives and staff on a day-to-day basis
  • Experience in managing client requirements and teams of diverse sizes
  • Excellent analytical skills and business presentation skills
  • Strong team building and client interfacing skills, a positive attitude, strong self-motivation, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience putting together presentations for senior-level staff
  • Very good written and oral communication skills and outstanding client-interaction skills
  • All candidates must successfully complete a stringent Background Investigation and obtain the required Government Security
Desired Skills:
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance
  • Knowledge of the federal acquisition lifecycle
  • Experience with other Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools outside of Jira/Confluence (Azure DevOps, Digital.ai, Jira Align, ServiceNow, etc.)
