The Advanced Purchasing Specialist represents purchasing as a member of a cross functional platform team tasked with developing CNH Industrial's next great products. This position is responsible for collaborating with suppliers and engineering to develop innovative agricultural components from concept to production.


  • Manages all purchasing activity for multiple, concurrent new product development programs in coordination with E&E purchasing CMD and Digital & Precision engineering competence center.
  • Support engineering team in the early supplier involvement to facilitate and speed up the introduction of the changes requirements on current product with the aim to improve the final Customer Experience.
  • Creates, forecasts, and executes sourcing and tooling e R&D plans in conjunction with Central Purchasing (CMD Team) to ensure component development (ECU, Radar, Sensor, Camera, ….) meets all program targets for quality, cost, and timing.
  • Work with commodity to Perform Market research to identify potential new suppliers in the digital/ cloud / connectivity.
  • Supplier Benchmarking activities between possible external vendors Proof of Concept reviews and demos.
  • Participate in negotiations, in partnership with the purchasing team; ratify contracts for appropriateness with technical requirements and strategies.
  • Accountable for all direct material cost of the product.
  • Increases supplier value through R&D, co-design, and innovation.
  • Has decision making authority on all sourcing decisions for new product.
  • Holds suppliers accountable to commitments and project deliverables independently and takes the appropriate steps to escalate when required.
  • Manages negotiation and implementation of all technical modifications
  • Manages proto purchase order/R&D to support the varius component development step
  • Drives the identification and implementation of cost reduction opportunities

Annual Base Salary range for this role: $54,000 - $85,800 USD (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Management or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in supply chain, purchasing, project management preferably in the production or procurement of components and subsystems, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of product development methodology (APQP or similar).
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office specifically Excel.
