Great work you'll do here:

The Administrator is responsible for planning, developing and directing the programs, services, activities and employees of the agency consistent with company policies. Under direction of the Governing Body, accountable for agency's revenue and profit performance, adhere to company systems and compliance with State and Federal regulations. Oversees implementation, maintenance and compliance with performance improvement activities; including the Corporate Compliance Program, chairs the Home Healthcare Care Center(s). Professional Advisory Board and acts as the Privacy Officer. Continually assesses the needs of internal and external employees and the customer to meet and exceed their expectations. The Administrator is also responsible for continual growth and the profitability of the Home Healthcare Care Center(s).

  • Assumes responsibility for planning, organizing and directing the delivery of client services for the Home Healthcare Care Center(s)
  • Acts as the emergency coordinator during an emergency and ensures the appropriate plan of execution
  • Provide leadership and assumes ultimate responsibility for meeting the Home Healthcare Care Center(s) operations and client needs in accordance with Intrepid mission and strategic business plans
  • Participate with regional and corporate leadership to implement Intrepid standards, policies and procedures
  • May function as Supervising Nurse for the Home Healthcare Care Center(s) if an RN
  • Plan and assure adherence to budgetary guidelines and manage the Home Healthcare Care Center(s)expense within budget
  • Ensuring the accuracy of public information materials and activities
  • Ensure compliance with all Federal, State and local regulations, OSHA and standards of practice
  • Knowledge of current regulatory standards and conditions of participation
  • Complies with Medicare, Medicaid and State license requirements
  • Complies with Intrepid's Quality Assurance monitors, Performance Improvement Plan and reporting mechanisms
  • Coordinate internal compliance review and monitoring activities, including monthly, quarterly and annual audits as required; review of QBQI/OBQM data and plans of action
  • Directs and supervises clinical team to review documentation for necessity of services, quality care, and compliance with physician orders and the plan of care to ensure quality care and reimbursement in conjunction with clinical director as appropriate
  • Develops, analyzes and trends Home Healthcare Care Center(s) financial plans/reports for market and meets annual operating budget
  • Prepares and meets annual operating budgets
  • Analyzes period financial statements by reviewing accounts receivable and accounts payable for accuracy and appropriate payment and reimbursement
  • Assure follow up with aging report and other billing reports to ensure accuracy and appropriate reimbursement
  • Control and analyze expenses to ensure budget targets are maintained
  • Guides development and implementation of new programs to enhance competitive strength and increase market share
  • Maintains strong, collaborative relationships with key referral sources
  • Provide strategic planning for growth of branch office Home Healthcare Care Center(s)
  • Develops marketing plans to assure ongoing increase in referral base
  • Identifies and develops ongoing relationships with referrals sources and external customers for the promotion of public awareness and understanding of Intrepid services
  • Oversees Patient Advocate functions including performance reviews and development plans
  • Serves as the local privacy officer for the Home Healthcare Care Center(s)
  • Inform the corporate privacy officer of violations through the reportable event process within a week of the violation
  • Assure appropriate documentation of patient requests for restrictions, access, amendments or accounting for disclosure as required by the privacy rule
  • Assures all staff receive appropriate training and follows the policies for protected health information
  • Audit and monitor compliance with the privacy rule and with the Home Healthcare Care Center(s) privacy policies and procedures by all staff and business associates
  • Ensures a working environment that enables employees to perform their duties to the best of their abilities
  • Interviews, screens, and hires employees to meet the needs of clients and in compliance with applicable employment law
  • Oversees the scheduling and competency of staff to assure safe, quality care and service
  • Sets clear and appropriate expectations for staff and gives feedback to meet those expectations
  • Oversees personnel management functions including staffing, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions
  • Provides a plan for staff retention and development
  • Assures appropriate training to meet the Home Healthcare Care Center(s) regulatory requirements
  • Completes other assignments and duties as requested and assigned to accomplish the goals and objectives of the Company

  • Appropriate judgment and critical thinking in decisions that requiring consideration of regulatory compliance, customer service, patient welfare and company interests
  • Outstanding presentation, writing and communication skills
  • Strong ability to be the public face of the organization, and serve as an advocate for Home Healthcare, Home Hospice and other service lines
  • Creative thinker who embraces thought leadership
  • Capable of making tough decisions and willing to take responsibility for them.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (in good standing) in the state(s) of practice
  • Has at least three (3) years of health related experience and at least two (2) years of supervisory administrative experience in home health care or related health programs. Home care and/or supplemental staffing experience is strongly preferred.
  • Auto liability insurance per policy; current and unrestricted driver's license. Miscellaneous - In the State of Texas, Administrators must complete a minimum of 12 hours per year of continuing education in subjects related to the duties of Administrator
