Administrative Assistant I

Functions as a para-professional, typically assigned to administrative departments, such as Finance, Planning, Human Resources or the Executive Office; performs duties in support of professional staff related to the function of their assigned department.
The primary duty is to be responsible for organizing Department of Medicine Medical Grand Rounds, requiring close attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel both within and
outside of Roswell Park. Will also perform administrative, clerical and general office duties and support several faculty. Must be experienced in Word and Excel. Advanced proven proficiency in Microsoft Outlook email and calendar
management is necessary. Will set up Teams (Video and Audio) conference call meetings, participate in team and group work activities, be experienced with letter drafting, proofreading, and creating and maintaining databases. Will arrange travel, process reimbursements, answer phone lines, direct guests, process mail The preferred candidate will be very dependable; have excellent time management skills and initiative; and be able to successfully work with little supervision while utilizing good judgment. A professional office etiquette and presentation is required at all times.
Required Education and Experience
1. Associate's degree and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time secretarial or related experience; or
2. High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time secretarial or related experience.
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
