Department Summary:The Department of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology provides the finest graduate professional education in both speech-language pathology and audiology while maintaining an excellent undergraduate degree. The program stresses excellence in teaching, research, and service by its faculty and students. As a component of the educational program, the department operates the UNT Speech and Hearing Center. The Center offers state-of-the-art diagnosis and treatment of speech, language, and hearing disorders to members of our campus community and the general public for the purpose of providing clinical training for students.
Position Summary:The Department of Audiology & Speech - Lang Path seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Instructor pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for the Fall 2023, Spring 2024 and Summer 2024 semesters. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these courses develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs.
The anticipated need is for Adjunct Instructors to teach courses that may include but are not limited to:
Undergraduate courses in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology ( ASLP
2015, 3030, 4040, 4045, & others)
Master's Courses in Speech-Language Pathology (ASLP 5500, 5800, 5870, &
others)
Clinical Practicum Courses in Speech-Language Pathology ( ASLP 5060)
For Undergraduate courses: Master of Science in Audiology or Speech-Language Pathology.
For Master's Speech- Language Pathology courses: Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Science and Disorders with appropriate clinical experience related to the courses.
For Clinical Practicum courses only: license to practice in the State of Texas; AND Certification of Clinical Competency granted by The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Ph.D. in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Science and Disorders.
