Description

The School of Counseling and Well-Being within the College of Applied Human Sciences at West Virginia University invites applications for Part-Time Adjunct Faculty positions to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Summer 2022, Fall 2022, Spring 2023 semesters.

The School of Counseling and Well-Being houses five undergraduate degree programs and two graduate degree programs. The department values intellectual diversity and demonstrated ability to work with diverse students and colleagues. Areas of need include, but may not be limited to, classroom and online courses in child development, family science, counseling, addiction studies, health and well-being and rehabilitation counseling.

 

Qualifications

These positions at minimum require a master's or doctoral degree in child development, psychology, counseling, or a related discipline, as well as evidence of effective teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level. The positions available in the counseling area may require counseling experience and/or holding appropriate licenses in the field.

Applications will be accepted throughout the year and will be considered as openings arise. Salary is established on a per-course basis. While these positions are not anticipated to be benefits-eligible, individual positions may become benefits-eligible based on course load - which may vary depending on departmental need.
