Compensation: $12.75 Hourly

The addiction recovery technicians are responsible for supervision of consumers to ensure their safety and well being. This is a PRN or As Needed position and coverage is usually needed during evening, weekend, and overnight shift hours.

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma/GED preferred, at least eighteen (18) years of age, a valid drivers license at the time of hire with the ability to obtain and maintain a Class E MO driver’s license by the end of the 60 day introductory period. Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to attend a 2-day orientation on a Monday/Tuesday required.

Must be comfortable working closely with people with addictions disorders and have a desire to provide excellent client care.  On-site training provided.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

  1. Provide group education.
  2. Transport consumers as necessary.
  3. Log new medications and store appropriately on unit.
  4. Observe self-administration of medicine on unit.
  5. Assist with orientation of new consumers.
  6. Complete paper and electronic documentation within required time frames.
  7. Attend staff meetings.
  8. Conduct disaster drill on each shift.
  9. Observe Unit Manual Policies and maintain high standards of professional behavior.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with arms and hands; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel or crouch; talk and hear.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities of the position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
