Overview

The Accounts Receivable Rep I position at AmTrust Financial, a multi-national insurance holding company, will demonstrate a thorough understanding of their Accounts Receivable or Commission Payable processing function, which may include Pay As You Owe (PAYO®), Premium Refunds and Premium Finance business, Agency Billed and Direct Billed Payments and Commissions. The Accounts Receivable Rep will be assigned multiple administrative duties within these units to ensure effective, efficient, and accurate servicing of policies. Accelerates processing of insured, agent and underwriter's policy changes, processing payments from customers and solving issues in line with standard department procedures. Prepares information for clients, agents, and service partners according to specified procedures and instructions.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include:

  • Ensure successful processing of insurance premium payments.
  • Generate premium refund batches for multiple policy types.
  • Successfully review and issue premium refunds in a specified timeframe.
  • Assists agents, insureds, and underwriters with complex policy dispute functions.
  • Error free data entry to ensure premium or commission processing is accurate.
  • Process adjustments and perform account reconciliations.
  • Perform standard policy maintenance requests.
  • Generate and review daily reports within policy system.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients.
  • Research and resolve payment or commissions discrepancies.
  • Acts as a functional team member supporting production needs.
  • Follows established corporate and department policies and procedures.
  • Acts as support for other production functions.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to perform individually and in a team environment.
  • Eye-hand coordination, manual dexterity, and the ability to operate general office equipment.
  • Flexible, able to work additional hours as needed.
  • Due to nature of the work, may need to be physically in the office


Preferred:

  • Accounts Receivable and/or Operations experience
  • Insurance experience
  • Data Entry skills
