SUMMARY

This position maintains and grows business with key accounts in Retail and OEM market segments. Perform a variety of critical sales activities including, but not limited to account management, product assortment, forecasting, and dispute resolution. This position requires monitoring of account trends, strategic information gathering, preparation and execution of plans that directly result in increased revenue of your assigned account base.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

* Maintain and grow business with existing key accounts.
* Meet assigned targets for sales volume, revenue, profitability, market share, and strategic objectives in assigned accounts.
* Analyze the business and prepare assortment, pricing, planogram, and promotion plans to increase sales.
* Work closely with customers to develop sales forecasts and monitor inventory levels.
* Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis.
* Build and maintain strong, trustworthy customer relationships.
* Operate as the lead point of contact and manage communications with key accounts, including responding to emails, resolving disputes, and setting expectations on lead times and product availability.
* Coordinate the involvement of company personnel, including operations, supply chain, technical support, R&D and management resources in order to meet account performance objectives and customer expectations.
* Analyze and track competitive activity, and proactively develop plans and programs to leverage opportunities.
* Maintain and enhance product knowledge, applications and technical expertise.
* Able to anticipate issues and work with cross functional resources for problem resolution.
* Strive to meet department metrics as outlined by Sales Manager and Sales Director.
* Contributes to team effort in a collaborative and supportive manner.
* Maintains clean, organized work environment and adheres to all safety standards, procedures, and regulations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

* Associates degree and two (2) years of related experience in a sales environment with heavy customer interaction or high school diploma/GED and four (4) years of related experience in a sales environment with heavy customer service
* Experience in the Construction or Building Materials industry preferred

* Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work is performed in a normal office environment with minimal physical risks involved. The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS

Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety rated glasses are required for the job when in the manufacturing areas. Safety toed shoes or boots (ASTM 2413-11 standard) are required in specific manufacturing areas.

TRAVEL

Travel may be required 25% to 40% of time.

Note to Washington applicants:

Per the state's Wage Transparency Act, the range for this position is $57,043- $102,677 Annually. Actual salary will be based on education, experience, and other qualifying skill sets.
