Accommodations Coordinator for Assistive TechnologyDisability Services
Location: New Orleans, LA
SummaryThe Accommodations Coordinator assists students with registered disabilities by coordinating accommodative services, such as real-time captioning, sign language interpreting, assistive technology, note-taking assistance, and alternative format texts. This position provides a high level of customer service to students and faculty around the accommodations process. As a member of the Goldman Center for Student Accessibility, this position receives a high level of cross-training and assists with overall accommodations coordination.
Required Qualifications* Bachelor's Degree with 1 year of student customer service experience.OR* High School Diploma (or Equivalent) with 7 years of student customer services experience.
Preferred Qualifications* Master's Degree in a human service field.* Knowledge of vocational, psychological, academic, and physical impact of various disabilities.* Knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and other relevant legal decisions.* Knowledge of assistive technology.
