FLEET SERVICES (BA-MOTR-IUBLA)
IU Ride is a free, student-run service for IU students, faculty, and staff which provides a safe ride home at night. For more information about the service, click here.
IU Ride Drivers/Navigators work together to ensure a safe ride home for IU students, faculty, and staff. There are always two staff members in the vehicle: a driver and a navigator. In this position, you will do a bit of each!
When driving, your number one responsibility is operating the vehicle in a safe and responsible manner. The Navigator takes the passenger seat and coordinates rides using the IU Ride app, offers directions to the driver when needed, and communicates with riders when and where they will be picked up.
We operate out of IU Motor Pool (3000 E. Discovery Parkway), where every shift starts and ends. We use IU Dodge Grand Caravans, so you don't need to worry about putting miles on your own vehicle!
