Summary of This Role

Leads cross-functional teams to provide agile-based project deliverables and facilitates the team's work to accelerate delivery of business value by ensuring adherence to Scrum methodologies and processes. Facilitates internal and external communication, removes impediments, and serves as the intermediary between multiple product owners, managers, and team members. Using strong communication, facilitates the Scrum team through the process of Program Increment (PI) Planning, Sprint Planning for multiple product owners, Daily Scrums, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. Sets the example for Agile methods based upon designated BTS Agile principles and ensures they are understood and exercised consistently within the team.

What Part Will You Play?

  • Lead agile delivery for your Scrum team. Deliver the product, business & technical roadmap to timelines, quality, costs and be proactive in rebaselining when expectations need to be reset.
  • Own delivery reporting and host effective delivery sessions with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure teams follow quality processes and the values and practices of Scrum.
  • Commitment and delivery to plan is critical.
  • Assist other team members (Dev, QA, etc.) to ensure sprint and release targets are achieved.
  • Lead or facilitate the standard scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, release planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and scrum of scrums.
  • Use advanced collaborative engagement techniques in these ceremonies to create high performing teams.
  • Own gathering, reporting and improving delivery metrics for your Scrum teams (e.g. # of Releases, Cycle time, Schedule Accuracy, etc.)
  • Own issue and risk management for your projects.
  • Remove impediments to both the team and the overall release.
  • Facilitate daily stand-ups and retrospectives.
  • Work with Product Owners and Release.
  • Train team stakeholders on a daily basis.
  • Evangelize and continuously improve agile ways of working and iterative deliver.
  • Attend weekly scrum of scrum meetings and coordinate delivery with other development teams.

What Are We Looking For in This Role?

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of previous Agile experience is required
  • Experience in product delivery/ consulting, preferably within the Fintech industry
  • Relevant Experience or Degree in: Computer Science or equivalent field from an accredited university is required; however, relevant experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in product development and/or management in an Agile environment, preferably for cloud based SAAS products
  • Proficiency in MS Office and/or similar Google applications
  • Scrum Master certification or other Agile project management certifications (CSM, SAFe, PMI-ACP) preferred
